| Iowa Family and Consumer Science Teachers - Fall 2009 Order Form. Download this letter and order form to get beef education resources for your classroom. | NEW! Connect the Dots: Where does my food come from? is an integrated educational kit designed for students in grades two and three, with portions expandable to grades one and four. As students explore their world, we need to help them realize that the food system contributes significantly to this world. The lessons in this kit will help you meet national education standards in science and social studies while reinforcing skill development in language arts and content understanding in health. The lessons can be taught in any order or can be used individually if time doesn't permit teaching all three.

Beef. From Our Farm to Your Table**
The Iowa Beef Industry Council has developed a resource to help teach about where our food comes from. Two PowerPoint presentations and accompanying activities may be downloaded to teach students about cattle and the beef we get from them. Teachers have asked for photos of cattle, so the presentations contain many photos. While not all classrooms have technology to show PowerPoint presentations, the presentations can each be printed on a color printer and be read as a booklet.
This entire disc may be ordered from the Iowa Beef Industry Council by emailing your name and mailing address to beef@iabeef.org.
A Letter to the Educator (Word doc) – how to use the PowerPoint presentations; science and social studies standards; objectives; list of activities included.
