Steak de Burgo - The Broiler's

This Steak de Burgo version was provided by The Broiler, a restaurant in Ames.
Makes 1 Serving
Ingredients
For each steak:
1 7-ounce tenderloin steak
4 ounces butter
pinch of garlic granule
1/2 teaspoon leaf basil
1/2 teaspoon leaf oregano
Dash of Sauterne wine
Instructions
- Grill tenderloin to slightly below desired temperature using a very lightly greased cast-iron skillet. (3/4-inch steaks take 7 to 9 minutes total cooking time for medium-rare to medium doneness; 1-inch steaks take 10 to 13 minutes total cooking time for medium-rare to medium doneness.)
- Combine remaining ingredients except wine in separate sauté pan. Once steak is ready, place in second pan with sauce ingredients and bring liquid to a boil. Add wine, turn steak and remove from heat.
- Place tenderloin on plate; pour sauce over. Serve immediately. Makes one serving.
The amount of sauce would probably be enough for 2 or 3 steaks.
