• Eighty-nine percent of America’s consumers enjoy beef on a regular basis, making beef America’s Favorite Food.

• Beef Certificates are the convenient way to give beef! Beef Certificates are available in $5, $10, and $20 denominations from the Iowa Beef Industry Council.

• Certificates are good for the purchase of beef only, redeemable at any grocery store or meat locker (for fresh beef) or restaurant (for a beef meal). They have been used throughout the United States. A Beef Certificates is a check drawn by the Iowa Beef Industry Council on Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.

• Beef Certificates are available the year round. They make excellent gifts for all occasions and are valid for two years from the date of issuance. If you elect not to use the certificate by the stated expiration date, the unused amount will be used in support of the program or similar promotional programs sponsored by the Iowa Beef Industry Council.

• Beef Certificates may be ordered from the Iowa Beef Industry Council, P.O. Box 451, Ames, IA 50010. When ordering by mail, use the online order form; please send your check for the total amount. There is no postage, handling fee or service charge required. Mail orders are promptly filled.

• Beef Certificates are easy to redeem. Take them to your favorite grocery store, locker or restaurant. Just fill in the name of the establishment in the "Pay To The Order Of" and as the redeemer/customer, you need to sign the certificate.  Merchants then treat a Beef Certificate as a check. By endorsing the certificate, the merchant runs it through his local bank with his other checks.
